KITTI DATASET
Explore the KITTI Dataset with SiaSearch
What is the KITTI dataset?
The KITTI Vision Benchmark Suite was first released in 2012 by Geiger et al. The dataset was released with the intent of advancing autonomous driving research with a novel set of real-world computer vision benchmarks. KITTI has certainly enabled a great progress, boasting over 4000 academic citations and counting.
Collected by a VW Passat station wagon equipped with two high-resolution video cameras (grayscale and color), LiDAR, GPS and IMU
Ground truth by a Velodyne laser scanner and GPS localization system
Scenes collected in mid-sized city of Karlsruhe, Germany in rural areas and on highways
Discover a new way to access the KITTI dataset
At SiaSearch, we are determined to further accelerate and enable the development of self-driving functions. Our mission puts us in the great position to contribute to the research community by releasing part of our work publicly.
We are happy to openly release a metadata index for the publicly available KITTI Vision Benchmark Suite. In conjunction, we have also released a completely free, public version of the SiaSearch platform to explore the data.
Metadata describes the higher level and scenario context of driving sequences. It can be very useful to better access, understand and filter sensor recordings such as the ones within the KITTI dataset.
